New Consoles

It's getting to that time of year again where we start showing prototypes of some of the more complex props. Mostly it's because of conventions like JoeCon where we want to show new stuff that we do a lot of prototypes. This year we did a number of new computer consoles.

​The old consoles were popular items and look well with modern soldier action figures, but with new figures coming out with sci-fi themes, something more tech is needed. At the same time the old Zombie Lab (not to be confused with the upcoming Action Figure line by Alex Wu) from the 2014 JoeCon in Dallas is getting a release. Yep, we're planning to mass produce the Zombie Lab with an upgraded look. And that upgraded look means we need more technical looking consoles.

​Three new console stations are planned and at least one supporting station that won't function as a console -- think of a tech table or something tall where you can put a laptop. These consoles have a lot of interesting potential, and eventually we'll get around to doing seated versions of them. The styling is also a lot of fun and makes for some interesting diorama sets.
